About MITA

MITA was founded almost 35 years ago making it South Carolina's oldest trade association. It is a volunteer organization with over 150 corporate and individual members.

The Executive Committee is made up of prominent yet hands-on members of Columbia's and South Carolina's international trade community. Fred Monk, president of ECI-Find New Markets, serves as MITA's president.

MITA offers its members monthly networking opportunities with a focus on topics of interest to the international trade community. The group also conducts trade missions, most recently to Mexico and the United Kingdom.
